This here also is my first ever INCUBUS cosplay from am wonderful fangirl at Mega-Con. She is dressed as Aleka, Lenny's sister! So cool! *cries TT_TT I was so excited I was shaking when I saw her and took her picture XD. No sword on hand, but she did have the cigar XD.

What made the convention especially wonderful, was a chance to meet Brent Spiner ('Data' of Star Trek: The Next Generation). *swoons*

Omg----his face is as beautiful and unique in real life as it is on the big and small screen--waahh!! X3

The first time I saw him, it was just to say hello (I asked him a couple questions stuttering the entire time, and I was speaking so quietly he had to lean in to hear me---i felt like a dog with its tail between its legs >_<)--and the 2nd time (he was in the exhibit hall signing autographs) I had doodled a picture of him after seeing him the day before (the day I 1st went to his table) and presented a signed copy of my Holmes book to offer as a trade/exchange for him signing my doodle of him (this was an idea offered to me, but I don't remember who).

He was charging for autographs, and after hearing a few explanations from John about why celebs do this, I understood and accepted this practice done by him. But I admit, I felt if a signature was obtained only because it was paid for, it kinda felt like it would hold no meaning--it would feel too much like merchandise---too materialistic, and that is not what I wanted. Even if an autograph is personalized by someone, it would feel less, well, I dunno---

So, off I went on my own (my dealer buddy John from Kitty Media was supppose to accompany me--to sort of 'break the ice', but I saw he was too busy to leave his booth)--so, in fear of offending Mr.Spiner of my proposition and making an ass of myself from his more than likely rejection--I trotted over there (because it was close for him to be leaving for the day, there was no line, holey shmokes) and presented pitiful myself. I could not look him in the eye entirely (could not the day before either), I was practically talking to the surface of his table, but I told him in my stutters my proposal, and he saw my doodle, and said "Sure!" (well, mnot enthusuactically, but not disprovingly, but more like, 'sounds good' kinda way). After he signed my doodle of him I handed him my book, and answered him that I was the artist (after he asked, "YOU did this?") and his mouth dropped a little (or maybe I was exaggerating or he was pretending, I dunno) and he turned it over and over looking at the cover art and such (it was in its polybag) and he commented I was talented and it was good art and such (I have no idea if he was sincere of not, hence is the affliction of my social disabilities Xb). Then I shook hands with him thanking him very much (he has such a firm hand shake! *squee!*) and then I trotted off in my usual embarrassed manner. Well, I didn't 'trot' back to my table (I kind of bounce more XD), it felt more like I floated, my feet felt funny and oddly my arms were numb and I had this weird 'still trying to wake up' kind of feeling.

It felt unreal basically.

I got to see him in person, talk to him, and get his autograph!! Waaahaa!! XD BTW, I failed to inform Mr.Brent that in the doujinshi Holmes and Watson were luvey-dovey in the story XD. It did not even occur to me until I felt the ground beneath my feet again. I doubt he'll even read the thing, and may have even left it behind somewhere or gave it to someone else (I am not being judgmental or implying he is mean or insensitive, just well--he gets toooons of stuff from fans aaalll the time, what's a book like mine gonna mean to him? I am fearful he thinks my book exchange was just another ruse of a poor ass lame artist trying to mooch him for exposure or something like that). But in the small chances he might have taken a peek inside, I hope it leaves some kind of impression on him, even a tiny itty-bitty-one from curiosity---more good/inquisitive than bad hopefully. And from what I have read about him, he does have a good sense of humor, so if it amuses him despite not inflicting interest, that would be just as neat. Oh damn---I just remembered I didn't personalize the damn thing for him---well, I didn't even hope he would accept it, so I didn't, but I should have--but...aww damn >_<

Lost files

OMG, I dunno what the hell happened, but I am so fucked.

I look at my computer and some important art files are gone. So I check my 3 flash drives (one of them being a portable/external hard drive)---I search all the folders mutilple times over and over again, but all the work for the pages I had been working on are gone.
i even downloaded this restoration program that goes through your deleted files after they are emptied from the recycle bin, but I came up with nothing.
And now, after looking through everything, I realize i have also lost my Yayoi Neko newsletter for '09 that was several pages long---I even had a short 5 pages INCUBUS comic on there that was nearly done.
I have no idea what the fuck happened--I saved it to my portable hardrive and I swear I saved those art pages on my desktop, but they are not anywhere.

Why the hell...I am crying over this becasue of all the work I did over the months and its gone. This feels worse that loosing my wallet. I feel like stabbing myself in my arm for this stupidity.
Its no where. No hidden files to look for, nothing.
I had the folder for the art with 'done' and 'in progress' pages.

Dammit, why why why why why....

This means I will have to rescan EVERYTHING--and there was so much I added with the grey tones to get them right, and I did them over and over again to get certain effects--and I had differnt laters so I could ink them in later with my tablet---and some of those pages were clean and finished, fucking finished!! And they vanish!!

I dunno what happened---Recently I could have sworn I saved my INCUBUS files for #3 (complete version, raw version, toned version, dialogue version) on my portable hardrive, but a couple months ago I looked for it, but it was gone.

I even used the restoration program on my laptop to look for old deleted files but there was nothing there relating to what I was looking for. Not all files can be found with the restoration program I have realized.

Goddammit---I don't even want to think of redoing those pages, its too heartbreakng.....

Goddammit---I am near tears right now--it took me so fucking long to get those pages done on everything, and those 2 folders are gone! Just, fucking gone!!

Hello, quick update.

Media Blaster table will be located against the wall.
Once you enter the exhibit hall entrance door, we will be on your right hand side along the wall. Look for a large corn and a "Media Blasters" flag.
For myself, I will have a red covered table and probably be wearing a red shirt.

I will be leaving Sunday morning or so, so come by when you can if you wanna pick up a copy of the Sherlock Holmes doujinshi. ^_^

Hello, I am heading to Yaoi-Con Holloween weekend in San Mateo in a few weeks, yay!

For the moment I am working on some new paintings to display for the convention, and hopefully will sell a couple or so at the convention.

I will aslo take my copies of the Sherlock Holmes doujinshi, some postcards, and bookmarks, and of course, prints of my characters from INCUBUS and fanart prints (which sell the most than my own chracters XD).

Hope to see familiar faces and can't wait to eat tempura and taiyaki in Japantown *chubby kjitty tummy grumbles* and canned UCC coffee! *drools* Dude! I only get to eat that stuff once a year *cries TT_TT

The doujin is 116 pages, and is shounen-ai. I illustrated Doyl'es original story "Charles Augustus Milverton" (aka Master Blackmailer) but added a few touches of shounen-ai (yaay!).

Please read over the order form carefully of all the instructions.
Only 3 copies maximum per order.

However, if you live outside of the US, I will take your order by email,
